The Historic Preservation Trust of Berks County brings together a diverse group of individuals with a variety of skills and accomplishments. From lawyer to gourmet cook, living historian to telecommunications engineer, seamstress to machinist, our members lend their talents to the Trust so that Berks County history will be preserved for future generations. Whether you have a little or a lot of time to offer, the Trust has a job for you.
Are you a Boy Scout looking for an Eagle Scout project? Give us a call. This is your chance to help preserve local history and earn your Eagle Scout award. Are you a high school student who needs service hours? We’ll work with you so you’ll have fun while contributing to the preservation of local history. Are you part of a civic group looking to make a difference? We have opportunities for groups interested in history and looking for projects to dive into.
Still not sure? Consider volunteering for our annual Country Fair, held at the end of September. We’re always looking for extra hands to set up the day before, staff the various stands, act as waitresses at the White Horse Tavern, keep the areas clean and stocked, and direct visitors and traffic. Or maybe you would like to help at our annual Christmas Tea, held in the beginning of December at a local residence.
Please contact the Trust at (610) 385-4762 if you would like to volunteer your time at any of our events, or for working on projects at our historic buildings.
